The Sudan Doctors' Union (SDU) Canada was established on the 24th of February 2019, with the goal of identifying and connecting members together in an effort to enrich their healthcare career journey and establish meaningful connections between the two countries, Canada and Sudan.

Dr. Zainab Doleeb is a third-year resident in obstetrics and gynaecology. She was awarded the Black Physicians’ Association of Ontario’s Learner Leadership Award for her work with resettling Sudanese refugees, increasing the University of Toronto’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology’s educational content on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and helping with the department’s annual holiday fundraiser.

Please join me in congratulating Dr Zainab on receiving this prestigious award for her leadership and amazing work in supporting Sudanese refugees.
